As freelance medical reporter, I wrote 600- to 2000-word stories on breaking news on treatment and clinical research on cancer, diabetes, nutrition, practice management, and other areas. This practice management article discusses a Canadian study that compared the frequency and probability of medical professionals who would choose outpatient oral antibiotic courses of treatment versus parents of children receiving chemotherapy.
“GLP-1 agonists increase blood pressure and heart rate in mice,” Healio.com. This article reports on a Beth Israel study on Glucagon-like peptide, or GLP-1. Researchers found dose-dependent increases in mean arterial-blood pressure and heart rate in rats.


With periodicals librarian Steve Black, I co-wrote “Here Today, Here Tomorrow: On the Lifespan of the Literary Magazine,” a data-driven piece that compared the lifespan of literary magazines compared to other periodicals over a 14-year period.
