Friend and occasional WWAATD contributor, Gene Cawley, has a cousin, Jim Cawley, who is running for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania. There is a separate election for Lieutenant and regular governor in Pennsylvania.
Let’s get one thing out of the way: he’s a Republican. Moving on. So Jim Cawley beat out nine opponents in the primary this past May, and one opponent was Chet Beiler, a firebrand businessman conservative type, who ran one of the most ridiculous political ads I’ve ever seen. See above. The summary: A lady without a full set of teeth complains about not being able to feed her cat because of the high taxes Jim Cawley now makes her pay. She punctuates her point by slamming down her walker-can on her porch.
After the jump, see Gene’s incendiary re-envisioning of the same ad.
That was awesome, much better than the original.
So glad I’m no longer a resident of this state.
