R.E.M. covers Lou Gramm’s solo hit "Midnight Blue" in 1987

I saw them do this on this tour more than a few times in 1987. I loved the original version back then, and loved that R.E.M. covered it. They genuinely liked the song.

    Nice! They always were a fantastic cover band. There's a quote from Camper Van Beethoven's "Good Guys and Bad Guys" in the spoken word part too!
